Our Background

Star Model and Talent Management is a rebranded Agency that was previously known as Sisters Rising and was founded in August 2016 by Brenda Nomusa Molefe.  After over 10 years in the corporate world, she decided to join a plus-size modelling agency to try and relive her childhood memories of being a fashion model.  In a few months within that agency, she was appointed to be an Assistant Manager and managed the Gauteng leg of the agency.  In her journey as a plus-size model and Assistant Manager she identified that there are still many challenges facing this industry. The challenges she had to deal with daily ignited the desire to open her own agency. The desire to make a meaningful change in the lives of each and every model or talent that is signed by the agency and ensure that they embody the ethos of the agency “Masterpiece Personified” was the birth of StaR Model and Talent Management.

Her other qualifications include a B. Tech Degree in Finance and Accounting (Public) from Tshwane University of Technology (2005), a Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Auditing from UNISA (2015), a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from MANCOSA as well as Executive Development training she received in London and China.

To ensure that the agency vision is carried forward Brenda has also acquired a partnership a Country Director from Nigeria this move has been a great success as it ensures that the Agency establishes its first efforts into having a Global footprint.

There are a number of vacancies that have been identified in both South Africa and Nigeria and this is very exciting as it will ensure that we contribute positively to the economic growth of South Africa as well as Nigeria.
